Lightbulb Informative Sculpture Website Link

Hi All:

I just came across this website recently and thought I would pass it on to you. Kelly Borsheimarts is the author, and she has some really informative lessons on sculpting a portrait in clay, kiln firing, applying a patina to look like bronze and creating a mold. Also she has some really good links......soooooo when you have time you might like to take a look see.

Best,
Kathy

That site is a good one. I had it in my fav's for a while but haven't found that disk yet. The following is a good Q&A page by Andrew Werby.

Hi Maggie:

You Welcome When I first started visiting the Sculpture Forum I was warmly welcomed by the gang. I remember how it made me feel so accepted into this forum. We all share the common bond and that is a love of sculpture. From the most experienced to the beginner everyone is treated equal and made to feel important.

Please feel free to add a link when you find a site of interest.
Best,
Kathy

I saw this one today and thought I would add it. Always on the lookout for new materials and sources.

www.avesstudio.com/aves/sculptin/

check it out! They are manufacturers of fine clays (Apoxie, Fix it, Critter clay, Maches....) worth a look.

Hi Kathy, I have not logged into the sculpture site for awhile and this is the first time I have seen this thread. I know Ron Young and have taken all his classes at Cal State Long Beach where he has taught for some time. He is an international expert in patinas and mold making. He created the white patina for George Segal and has done many restorations at the Johnson Atilier. Any information you receive from him is a great asset.
