Nice painting! Sets the scene, tells the story, and from growing up in New England....very familiar.

May all your mountains be small and your rivers be shallow.

Really so well done, I enjoyed looking at your painting, since it conveys all kinds of feelings, you can feel the chill of the snow and the isolation of the setting. Few people can get you to feel as if you are there yourself.

Huge ...love it....your 'simple' is incredible to me because I am in awe of people like yourself who are such fine artists.

Superb image.

Re: Snow's a coming Lad.

Instead on making a new post I just thought it would be better to add this week's painting on the end.
So, Mod's is it possible to have the title changed to something along the lines of "My acrylic painting journal of my return to painting"

As for now this is the second painting I have done since coming back.

It's a little bit more complicated than the first one

Titled .. Just you me and the birds Lad.

Still plenty of room for improvement.

Nature is the painter,
we are simply the scribes who document it
for the people of today and the historians of tomorrow. Anon.

Very nice painting! Good perspective and shading. Nice restful scene. I like snow paintings.

Is the dog by any chance a corgi?

Paintings are nice, love the sky in the first one and the light effects and colors in the woods scene. I admire your goal. Keep it up; these are good.
