Snow's a coming Lad.

Finally after 3 years away from my Acrylics I got to paint with them again.
Deliberately decided to do a simple scene first with a limited colour palette.

"Snow's a coming Lad". Is a simple Yorkshire Dale picture featuring my Man and Dog.

Committed myself to doing one Acrylic a week now so as to keep improving now that I am back to using them.

Re: Snow's a coming Lad.

First of all, welcome back to acrylics. I really like what you've painted, the light is really fine, but I think what I like the most is how you handled the sky....wonderful.
Over here in Newfoundland, we have similar areas of low, rolling hills with few trees. Apart from the stone walls, this could be in my neck of the woods.

Beautifully done and nice perspective and that overcast blue/grey sky is so typical of the winter....look forward to more.
