WDE Aug 16th. ‘Sleeping bundle of joy’

Hello everyone.

Connie such wonderful photos. Thank you for hosting.

I took an interest on baby Lock. A5 paper once again but it was nice to see it as a puzzle. I wanted to see if the pencil could guide me on what to do. My intentions are to add colour and do it in the style of Friedrich Von Amerling 1836. He did a portrait of an older baby ‘Marie Franziscz Von Liechtensteinedit’. Yep so this is only the bones. 2 hours no more like 3. I get carried away with my sketches. I will probably use acrylics with combination to my new acrylic pens. Fingers crossed.
Thank you for looking and letting me play.
C’cs always welcome.
Sandy.

Re: WDE Aug 16th. ‘Sleeping bundle of joy’

A nice sketch which captures the little sleeper's posture really well. For me it's a finished item. An acrylic would be a separate thing, starting from scratch with a much sketchier base drawing.

Re: WDE Aug 16th. ‘Sleeping bundle of joy’

Oh Connie my most sincere apologies. I didn’t realise that my auto spell corrector had changed Loek’s name to Lock. Second time it’s done that for me. The first was me writing the name Macarena and the silly thing changed it to Macaroni. As you can imagine the person was NOT impressed with me.

Thank you Harry. I will take your advice onboard. If that’s the case then I will fix up the hand to make it look more believable like the one showing his palm and the rim of the knitted cap.
Big hug.

A good sketch of this cute little one! I totally agree, it would be a pity to add colour.
