                        Thanks for your positive comments folk, always most welcome (as indeed are any crits). Well spotted, Kay! Your virtual Mars bar is on its way…..
                        I was going to add the kingfisher too but thought a) it’s going to get too fiddly with such a wee detail distracting from the broad, tranquil sweep of the scene b) the kingfisher ref is all about the glorious colours which would have to be severely modified. That works OK with the heron but wouldn’t have done with the smaller bird.
