Yeah...the studio is slowly creeping into the rest of the everything. lol
I cannot get a good picture to save my life, but I finished by buzzard lady. I actually do have pastelmat on the way, but the shipping has been very slow. They estimate sometime in October. However, I am going for an interview up north today, close to a Blick store, so I may check for various experimental papers there! I have used the Mi Tientes for years from college days for charcoal work, but there is something special about the sanded papers. I have something called a pastel board by Savoire Faire that I found on super clearance at Michaels. I am not sure how I feel about it. I have only used it for one painting now in progress. It rips the tools up very badly and is very very sticky. But...we shall see. Maybe I will grow to love it.
I was hoping, since it was already a 16 by 20 that I would be able to use it for a portrait commission once I figure out how to use the pans and pastels again.
