Well I met my wife’s cousin a great guy now in his 80s. He and his wife were great fun and hosts. He is having trouble with his knee and not getting about without pain but he never complains. I would let you know if I had the problem. My wife found this maybe 3″ high B&W picture of him and his brother who died in his twenties in a car wreak I thought I would take a shot at doing this little acrylic 12″ by 16″ and send it to him. Just got it packed up for tomorrow shipping. It was fun making up a color from B&W and trying to still keep a period feel to it. I think the snap is from about 1947-48. C&C welcomed but pass the point of changing.

June 29, 2018 at 11:55 pm #647178This is really lively. The brisk brushwork has brought the brothers in the old photo to life. The ‘aged’ palette with its yellow tone has worked well. Lovely idea.
C&C always welcome.
