Broken Fence with Storm

18” x 24” Colored Pencil Drawing on Strathmore Gray Toned Paper (184lb), Polychromos Colored Pencils, Koor-i-noor Woodless Colored Pencils, Prismacolor NuPastel Sticks, Charcoal, Gouache, and a whole lotta Oh SH*T Moments! I was certain I had a failed drawing at least 3 different times, but I kept trying and recovered enough to make it worth my time to finish. No reference photo used. I made it up as I went along.

I welcome any and all Comments and Constructive Criticism you will offer.

You fought a good fight and won. It a great dramatic image. Nicely handled materials. I really like the subtle color work in the sky.

Powerful scene... Great work on the barbed wire and lightening...

Re: Broken Fence with Storm

Very effective portrayal. I will also say that it reflects my mood pretty well right now. Gary

Very dramatic. Lovely rendering of the wire - very realistic. Youve gotta keep plodding on to get anywhere. Good result.

Re: Broken Fence with Storm

Very nice work in cp and really like the old barb wire fencing with the old posts showing their age all tilted.
I also like the dramatic sky with the touch of a lightning strike...draws us right into the scene.
