Re: Animal & Wildlife challenge October

Viv, I am so pleased to see your lovely frog here and that you are managing to paint again and so beautifully.

Kiffin, another friendly frog to keep the others happy... with great colours.

Lesley. Cattle are not easy to draw or paint and you did a good job. Nice lively work.

Re: Animal & Wildlife challenge October

Viv I like your frog. He seems translucent - almost glowing -really nice.

Kiffin Your frog is very nice, very well done - I like the background too.

Lesley Good cows, you did well on the anatomy and in watercolour too. I find watercolours an extremely difficult medium.

Re: Animal & Wildlife challenge October

i was not able to participate, due to being away and household problems. Love all of the deer, and wish I could comment on all of the works.

Penny - Amazing that you painted this w/o drawing first. Proportions are excellent.

Vivien - Thrilled to see you back; the frog is so lifelike. I really like the texture you achieved.

Lesley - The way that you handled the BG was very good. I wouldn't know what to do with that photo, so you interpreted it well.

Thanks, Joy, for the encouragement. I meant to add highlights to the eyes. 😁

Re: Animal & Wildlife challenge October

Hi
Thanks for the lovely comments about my picture.

I was doing a bit of an experiment using coloured paper and The same with the background. Watercolour is hard but it was the first paint medium I was introduce too so like keeping my hand in.

Lesley

Re: Animal & Wildlife challenge October

I had a little time this month for the challenge. I know the picture is larger than the painting.

Re: Animal & Wildlife challenge October

Wonderful paintings from everyone! Sorry I haven't had time to comment individually, but we are in a holiday weekend here in New Zealand - Labour Weekend - and I've have family staying with me for the holiday.

Many thanks to Donna for Hosting this October Challenge!
