7×3.75 watercolor on Canson 140 lb CP paper done today. The moth is this week’s challenge topic in All Animals Watercolor Facebook page. It is a very intriguing insect, so lovely in the neon yellow-green, and does not eat. This one was on a tree trunk (ref from online).
    C&C welcome

Lovely! Doesn’t eat? Then he can only have a very short life in his moth state.

Lovely Kay, he’s glowing. Sad that he doesn’t eat!

This is beautiful, Kay! These moths are amazing. I’ve only seen one once. Quite dramatic insects, and I love your painting of this one!

Really nice! Is it a drinker – i.e. takes in fluids?

Some wonderful shapes and colours in the bg. Kay. The moth glows and I find the fact that it does not eat, rather weird but fascinating.

Thank you all. An intriguing insect for sure and I’d love to see one in real life.
