I guess there are two points to make before you wonderful artists get to see my work. First, I usually do pastel and portraits... Most recent have been celebritys. Second, about a year ago I became very ill and subsequently lost some of the use of my hands. Even so, I have endevoured to persevere. But using the pastels is more of an ordeal now, and I have to use full size sticks. I can hardly grasp any smaller pieces now.
That said, here is a piece I have been proud of, and yes it is a bit old. I am hoping that beginning to post pieces will motivate me to finish and photograph pieces. (I was trying to ready a website when I fell ill... ) I have also done a bit of landscape. My sales have been family portraits, a pet or two, and a series of geisha girls in kimonos! I wish I had photographed them before they went to their new home... This is about 18x24 inches, and the paper is Canson Ingres. The pastel was kept deliberately a bit on the thin side. This is of course, singer and songwriter Josh Groban.
