Re: Weekly Paintings - past - present & future

I seem to always comment on your colors, but once again, the unexpected mix of colors you use make the paintings pop. Great work on both of these!

I'm with Jenna and like the unexpected spots of color. Well done....

Your textures are so cool! Do you use any mediums for dimension in your finished works? Either way, these new ones are super! I just especially love In the Canyon No. 1!

Re: Weekly Paintings - past - present & future

Thanks Jenna - I do not use any mediums at all - it is just thick juicy paint applied gingerly with my palette knife - I study the Brad Teare demos on UTube and watch how he applies paint with his palette knife.

I'd paint only with a palette knife but this style results in to much expense for paints!!!! :>(

Re: Weekly Paintings - past - present & future

Saguaro On The Up-slope - 9 x 12

Sun Set Glow 9 x 12

Both of these are done with Chroma Interactive acrylics - in a style that is sort of a combination of Expressionism - Impressionism - combined with my own loose painterly style.
