Hippies X Post Watercolour

... hippeastrums/amaryllis ... flowering now.
A nice counterpoint to jacaranda blues. These orange ones follow the squatter red/striped ones that are finishing.
Sketched it directly onto the sheet while sitting in the garden (300x400mm Arches CP). Avoidance of cats and (almost) bitey insect life
Colours are cobalt blue, quin red and azo yellow only.

Lovely Transparency! Beautiful work! Amazing to see the amaryllis as it naturally grows in its habitat. I only have seen the amaryllis as a potted plant!
