Great going, Paul! You've caught the horse's movement very nicely. A difficult reference well rendered.
Yes, you can still push the darks more. Then you could also define the knee caps on the hind legs too?

Thanks Christel. Good point with the rear knee cap... not sure how I missed the detail on the back legs, wasn't planned

Re: September/ October drawing challenge Motion

the latest published works are also very beautiful.

I tried these figures from the athletes, format, size a4, but I have
used sheet a3 divided into 2.
Xerox Performer White Paper - A3, 80 gsm
I used different colors and different pencils, with graphite pencils, with the normal graphite pencils I find it more difficult to draw side lines and heavier ones to lift, the green and orange ones I like so much, regardless of how tempera I think are the most comfortable to use that I tried to draw lines, sketches on the various cards, they are a mini set polychromo faber castetl that I had taken some time ago because once I had found one attached in a newspaper and I liked them so much even though I had not used it to draw , maybe once. then I'd like to find blacks in bulk (at a good price, I only saw them on the internet for about € 6) or some classic color
thanks for seeing
thanks for nice references

Great shapes and lines. I like your use of cp for sketching.
