This is about 11 x 15 - a scratchboard. It's of my dad in his favorite position it seems. . . sleeping on the couch, oh, that's a pillow on his head in case you were wondering

Very Cool! I love the 'look' of scratchboard. you did a great drawing of you father and the afgan he has covering him is so fine! i'm impressed. wow

Yes! I agree with Mal. He's great. I had no problem figuring out the pillow. I'm not very familiar with this meduim. What kind of tools do you use for this?

The fringes on the afgan are great.
I have never tried scratchboard.

Thanks everyone- Scratchboard is a white board (the nicer ones are clayboard- others are basically white paper that's almost powdery white on top) this is in turn covered with black ink that can be scratched away with either an exacto knife- or a scratchboard tool, which is basically a small, pointed knife. Well, at least I tried to explain it, right-

Yes, I love this effect, I have seen other boards in other colours and they are great.
You can really get some detailed images in this, I havent tried one yet, but this one has put me in a modd to try one.
