Scratchboard

This is about 11 x 15 - a scratchboard. It's of my dad in his favorite position it seems. . . sleeping on the couch, oh, that's a pillow on his head in case you were wondering

Yes! I agree with Mal. He's great. I had no problem figuring out the pillow. I'm not very familiar with this meduim. What kind of tools do you use for this?

Wow! This is such a nice example of scratchboard. You did a great job of portraying your dad......lol My dad always fell asleep in his lazy boy

Hi Thumper
Wow this is really nice, I love all the detail.
The fringes on the afgan are great.
I have never tried scratchboard.

Thanks everyone- Scratchboard is a white board (the nicer ones are clayboard- others are basically white paper that's almost powdery white on top) this is in turn covered with black ink that can be scratched away with either an exacto knife- or a scratchboard tool, which is basically a small, pointed knife. Well, at least I tried to explain it, right-
