My first painting out doors i got done close to one month ago. I got it home and realized the pile on underneath the bridge was two different colors! Oh well live and learn. Any suggestions on what i can do to take this scene to a higher level? I’m going to paint it again:clap:

It’s an ambitious painting for the first time outdoors and many good things in it! I’ve cropped it out of your image and guestimated on how it might look for adjustments.

I like the composition and your color- the reds and greens are always a great combination. I would suggest softening the trees edges and cast shadows, lowering the value of water reflections, and being consistent with the bridge pilings- and keep painting!

Looks very good to me. Evocative.
