“ Turqouise ~ and ~ Orange ... a new stillife “

I found this beautiful pitcher at a antique shop .. I loved the color and it’s shape.. so wanted to put it into a painting!! Here are some steps in the process!
I was hoping to place it into a beautiful. Masterworks frame I had. It’s 14x18. Oil on linen panel..

I just love the contrasting colors of the turquoise pitcher with the oranges. What paint did you use for the turquoise? Cobalt teal? Phthalo turquoise? Something else?

That whole thing is marvelous, but that turquoise and orange coloring is just phenomenal.

Wonderful use of contrast with the darkness next to the bold colors. It really makes the piece jump out, and creates interest beyond just the impressive application technique.

You've made the color itself interesting. It looks like you increased the chroma on the vase and emphasized the natural variations to give a result that looks better than life. Really well done.

So is the painting bluer than life, greener than life, or both?

Very classic, I really love the colors. You cannot go wrong with turquoise.
