Day 6 Snoopy Overalls Back
28 x 38 cm
How do they look as a pair?

Small correction, these are day 5 and 6. Day 4 was the wrench.

Day 7, 8, 9... Nothing
My son has been in and out of the hospital for two weeks now with serious balance problems. There is no way in heck I can even consider painting until he is better. When he is walking reasonably well again and can get back to school, at least part time, then I will consider continuing my Painting a Day Challenge. Until then, all my energies go to him, and to his little sister.

Re: Allison's Painting A Day Challenge

My son is still home from school, but he is getting better. We've had a lovely week together, building model airplanes, playing monopoly, swimming... just the normal family stuff that makes us happy.

At the same time, I would like to get a part of my life back to normal. So I'm starting slowly again on my "Painting A Day Challenge."

Day 7 Fuzzy Robe
25 x 43 cm oil on canvas

Starting out slow with a super soft and fuzzy baby robe, with very loooooong shadows. Sort of bitter-sweet.

Day 8 Rainbow Furby
28 x 28 cm oil on canvas

Furbies are both cute and scary at the same time. This one is pure white fluff, but I had the urge to add a touch of color.

Day 9 Spotted Furby
35 x 35 cm oil on canvas

In real life this furby is hot pink, neon lime and royal blue. I’m gonna have to paint this thing in color. Black and white just isn’t enough.

Re: Allison's Painting A Day Challenge

Day 10 Hanging Cookie Monster

What a mess! This painting was supposed to be a Minecraft sword stabbing a bunny, which was terrible on just so many levels. So in frustration I smeared all the colors and created mud. This mud became a nice background for a very blue cookie monster.

Day 11 Coffee Pot Reflections
33 x 45cm oil on canvas

No - the painting I did today was UGLY. Butt ugly. Sent to trash can heaven. So instead I’m posting a study I made for “Coffee Pot Reflections”, a painting I completed last spring. Silvery greys and a touch of plum.

And here is the final painting - Coffee Pot Reflections also 33 x 45 cm oil on canvas

Day 12 Teapot Reflections
26 x42cm oil on canvas

Is this a teapot or a genie lamp? The crazy fabric pattern and detailed reflections took me two days to finish. Only two colors : burnt sienna and cobalt.

Day 13 Masks
34 x 39 cm oil on canvas

A way to hide. Or a way to reveal only a part of ourselves.
