Etched Dragonflies

I had not visited this forum for a while and almost missed some great images that have been posted since my last visit. Well done by all but me, lol.

Here are a couple of simplistic minimalistic manipulations that turned out better than I had expected.

These images have a totally different feel about them than the originals. The manipulations involved de-saturation, contrast adjustments, background removal, creating a negative and a little sharpening.

C&C welcome and all feedback is appreciated.

If I keep at it, some day I might be able to do a pen&ink piece of art 10% this good. Enjoy looking at these and studying them.

Thanx 4 posting these,

greg

Well done Lee. Effective use of the manipulation software.
This variation is very appealing to me, although almost everything you post is eye catching.

I like the simplicity and cleaniness of these images in how they show all the details. I hope that is not a contradictory statement.

The first is my favorite because of the shape of the weed how it loops around bringing the eye back to the center of attention, keeping the eyes moving.

Beautiful images. I love the long arching blade of grass in the first one, but especially like the second - wonderful composition.

These are great. I appreciate the photography alone and really admire your use of the manipulation software.
