Hello again everyone…..!! been a long time since I have visited….
been busy painting for the upcoming show season…..Linda and I had a
great 2012 and together we sold 16 originals!!….we were kinda stunned,
but, very happy with that….we only did about 7 shows total…..art fairs
only….so we are trying to replenish and come up with some new images, but
when you work a full-time job……it makes it tough to have the energy and
drive to keep at it……..Barred Owl…..watercolor and gouache….on Arches watercolor board….
love that board………..I was happy the way he blends into that bark…
they are very elusive birds and hard to spot, even if you ARE looking :rolleyes:Barn swallow…….this barn I pass everyday and finally took some
refs one morning……and the swallow fit in nicely :thumbsup:Nuthatch and Lantern…..Linda found that old lantern at a garage sale
last summer…..I HAD to use in in a composition…..and a nuthatch
seemed to work with it alright…..also on WC board….'...When the last individual of a race of living things breathes no more, another heaven and another earth must pass before such a one can be again.' William Beebe (1906)

Welcome back, it is so nice to see some of your beautiful paintings again. Congratulations on the great year so far (still have another month to go). Glad you and Linda are doing so well with your art. :thumbsup:I LOVE the owl and the tree bark together. Works beautifully.
The barn swallow and the nuthatch with the rusted lantern are equally beautiful.
