1 on 1 Drawing and Painting lessons on Skype. Do you think it's doable?

So, I came across this amazing artist's web site and I found out that he gives private lessons in his studio and I would really love to go, but unfortunately he lives in another city. So I contacted him and ask him if he would give me some online lessons using skype, and he said this this is completely new for him and he's not sure how this would work, but we can talk about it.
Do you guys think there is a way this could work?

A good suggestion, might work on a one-to-one basis. Would depend on the quality of the webcam I suppose.

Would also depend on the speed of your Internet connection. Skype can be quite choppy if you are not really high speed.

You never realize what you have until it is gone. Toilet paper is a good example.
