Glen,

Sorry that I had a hard time getting this done. But... I think I am done.

I hope you like,

Re: The 8th Annual WetCanvas Portrait Swap Pairings and W.I.P. thread!

Max I love your painting of me. I wish I could do what you do.

I also finished tonight on your portrait.

I am actually not that upset with my portrait of you. I usually hate my stuff but i think I did ok on this one.

The photo is from my phone so I think it is better than what you see here. In person it looks more like your photo and has more depth. (Not sure if that makes sense or not)

Happy Holidays! Will be in touch!

Glen

It was no trouble at all Dave. I'm so glad it made it safely. I tried to pack it carefully.

The packing was excellent Jeanne and everything arrived in good order, in fact I’ll be reusing some of it
Hi Kevin, yes it’s posted over there already. And thanks for setting this all up it’s become one of the highlights of WC

Re: The 8th Annual WetCanvas Portrait Swap Pairings and W.I.P. thread!

Here's my finished version of Karen (Kazmik).

Oil on canvas board
10x12 inches

I wish I'd gone for a bigger scale! Struggled with the likeness and the small brushwork. The glasses were very tricky to make look believable and not too chunky.

There's so much good work again this year- such a great thing to be a part of

Re: The 8th Annual WetCanvas Portrait Swap Pairings and W.I.P. thread!

I had an operation on my wrist a couple of weeks ago and hoped to have recoverd in time to finish Deb's portrait. Unfortunately, the wound has opened up and set me back so I won't get it to you for Christmas Deb. Sorry about that.
Kevin, I hope you can keep this thread open for a while to cater for those of us who are late.

This is a fabulous community to be part of and I thank you all for your generosity and willingness to share your best kept secrets.
I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a very creative and fruitful new year.
Regards
Graham

You poor thing Graham I hope you recover soon.

Look at least you have an excuse! I finished yours a while ago, I still haven't sent it and I don't even have a proper physical excuse, although I'm sure I could give you a few mental ones

Have a wonderful Christmas and we'll see each other( well each others portraits) in the New Year
