Okay guys here's our first illustration topic. If someone would like to volunteer for the next topic to go on next Sunday please post. ( first post volunteering will grab the job).
To give everyone time we can make it each fortnight. Goodluck

Re: "lets illustrate no.1 - "together in the garden"

Hi, im new to this channel I ususally stick to the watercolour forum, as thats what i use 90% of the time. anyway im intrigued by this thread, but im not really sure how it works, does a few people illustrate a picture according to the title and then post them all? if so id like to contribute a painted illustration. so let me know
thanks

okay looks like I'm first up.
I painted mine on photoshop (scanned the sketch first). I have learnt a little about PS through trial and error and I would really love to know all its potiential.
THere are still things I'm not really happy with on the picture but here's for practice!!!!

It looks like your really learning how to pull textures out of photoshop! I really like all the plants.

I'm sketching mine out, I should be inking and coloring today.

Re: "let's illustrate no.1 - "together in the garden"

Shantel, that's great! You're very brave to do the whole thing in photoshop. I find photoshop to be a very challenging program. It's got so much potential but I've only ever touched the tip of the iceberg. I've used it for photo retouching and sometimes to colour cartoons, but nothing more. Do you have some good manuals?

I'm away until the 13th but once I get back I'll get something done shortly after that. Glad to see that there's interest in the "lets illustrate" thread! Should be fun.

OK, here's mine. It's tiny- I'm part of one of the ATC (artist's trading card's) projects so I'm working small right now. It's 2.5 X 3.5 ", ink and watercolour.

My little worms look a bit like cats- oh well! They're doing what they do in my garden, eat everything in sight.

CassieFox and Passion4, you're up next!
