Re: Polish watercolors

I watched the same video on Mind of Watercolour. They look like interesting and good quality paints, but as I'm in Australia I doubt I'll be able to get them.

Oh well, I don't really NEED more watercolours lol

Re: Polish watercolors

They are available through Etsy to Australians (so presumably everyone else too!). Just search ‘renesans’. I think the lady’s name is April?

Gouache too, if I’m recalling correctly.

Several youtube wc paint reviewers have said they are extraordinary good value for the price. Heavy pigment load.

I think this is the link to April's Etsy site. They definitely ship to the USA but I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but I'm sure April or her staff can advise.

Re: Polish watercolors

Hi Everyone! I'm Chris from Poland. I just wanted to let you know that Karmański and Renesans watercolors have been on the market for quite a long time. These paints are not considered as the "good" ones here and I know just a few people who use them.

Last month a new brand of professional watercolor paints has been released. They are called Aquarius, they're made by Roman Szmal - Art Materials for Advanced Artists. There is a wide range of 140 colors among which: 116 are single-pigmented; 34 are natural earth colors; 9 are quinacridones and a dozen or so separating colors. Many watercolorists were given these paints for tests starting from last year. I've had a chance to test them since May this year. Now they are on the market and they are really great. I don;t actually know anyone who complained about them. Now they are really popular here and I personally can also recommend them. You can see all colors in one of our most popular online art shop: HERE. Color charts are also available on Roman Szmal Art Facebook: HERE

If you have any questions, I'll try to help you
Chris

Re: Polish watercolors

The problem with polish manufacturers is that they do not ddo for the international, which is a pity, because we cannot try their products.

It is the same with Rosa, an ukranian watercolour maker.

Many of us would love to try them, but it's impossible to order from the website you linked to. That's a shame.

Thank you, Jane for the sampling.

They look very interesting. Some hues are just lovely.

I wish they would sell them worldwide...

Thanks Jane!

I don't think I've seen Azo Red PR144 in watercolor before.

Re: Polish watercolors

Aquarius watercolors will be available worldwide as far as I know. This is a new product. They've been on the Polish market since November 2018. Distributing a new product always takes time. Even in Poland they are available only in a few shops yet, but I know from the producer that he's working on spreading them not only in Poland.

Re: Polish watercolors

Hi,
I saw Roman Szmal / Aquarius watercolors first in blog of Liz Steel and was amazed by colors. I have mostly empty half pans in my Box and decided to Switch to full pans (when half pans have the Deep hole I find it cruel for brushes). The wooden Set seems so nice.
I have no facebook Account, but it is possible to find the mail adress of Roman.
Nice conversation, I received a proforma invoice and 2 days (!!) later my parcel with this wonderful treasure box and some goodies. Roman is a really nice guy.
I have only painted swatches until now, but I am really happy with the quality.

I will present the box soon in palette addict thread.
Prices are really good
