Yes, faces and licence plates are often blurred out.

Be sure to show the google copyright in your posted pictures.

Re: Favourite Street View Locations

Doug, Thanks for asking everyone about the Apple print screen. I did find it. For all you Apple users, it's "Command/Shift " The image went on my desktop where I can crop etc. Again, thanks Doug.

Re: Favourite Street View Locations

command shift + 3 will capture the screen and place it on your desktop for a mc, Doug.

I've been doing the public project for over 4 years now. Thousands of submissions.

Mount Nameless, Nameless Valley Drive, Tom Price, Western Australia

A location made famous (to me) by the Aussie landscape painter Fred Williams.

Re: Favourite Street View Locations

nice thread and idea, this would really have been a good chance to paint places in Germany without having copyright issues, but I've just had to realize that - while Britain, France, etc are completely blue and thus it is possible to have the street view nearly for every area - in Germany only few urban areas are included and most areas are just covered by photos uploaded by people, and then it's not free to use I asume.

Christian

I would contact the people who took the photos and ask permission to use them as a reference, most folk are happy to agree

Re: Favourite Street View Locations

Yes Christian it's very disappointing, I would love to have explored the places that Ernst paint for example. The Panoramio photos are copyright and not to be used without permission.
