How protect postcards painted with creon

Hi guys.
My second post here
I was searching a bit without find the right tread.
Suggest me it please.
I need to paint a postcard with creon (I love the simplest baby way to paint).
I need suggestion on a support (maybe plastic/polistirene if you think good) and mostly a "finishing" that can protect the work when the postcar will be sent.
My wife suggest me "lamination" process..
About me.. I like to SEE AND TOUCH THE REAL PAINTING.
You can understand.. maybe a "resin"? something like that can be good to protect enough to not destroy all before the postcard reach the destination?
Ciao
Federico

Hi Federico. Welcome to oil pastels. You could try a thin layer of oil painting medium. I've used Dala Alkyd oil painting medium (SA product)with success.

Re: How protect postcards painted with creon

Hello Federico!
I sent two oil pastel postcards this christmas. I painted them on Cotman watercolour postcard pad, varnished them with Sennelier oil pastel fixative-2 layers and put them in an envelope. Its an expensive solution ( that fixative is pricey) but they arrived safely at their destination.
