Re: Way Outta' My Box!

I knew you were a wildman Bill.
This reminds me of the early surrealistic abstractions. A real treat and well painted.

Re: Way Outta' My Box!

Nice work Bill,
Regardless of subject matter, it still has all the trademarks of a WFMartin painting; clean colors, smooth blends, great sense of light/shadow.

Now get back to work on a landscape, still life or portrait.

All those dots and shapes have personality somehow. As well as being well done.

Looks a lot like the fantastic work of the surrealist Yves Tanguy. Amazing work in any style Bill!

Re: Way Outta' My Box!

Just thought I'd bump this thread up with the news that this painting just received a Best Of Show at my art club's Fall Show reception, at WHAM Gallery in Surprise, AZ.

I'm very pleased with that, and a bit amused, as well! Paint outta' your box, once in awhile, folks! Oh, ......and good wine at the reception!

Re: Way Outta' My Box!

What a surprise, Bill! Way out of the box, indeed! I agree that it has Dali-esque elements. It's terrific - bravo!
