I wanted to share a paper sculpture I recently finished. If time (and ambition) permits, I hope for this to become a pair, one dragon representing fire and the other representing ice
Specifications: 12" x 24" paper sculpture
A close-up showing some of the details:
A professional photographer with proper lighting would better capture the finer details of this sculpture. The paper stock used for the black scales has very subtle glitter on it, giving the dragon a shimmer when the light hits it right. Also, the eye is a metallic red paper which appears almost luminous from the right angle. Lastly, the white paper has a scale-like pattern embossed on it, giving added depth to an otherwise flat surface.
If I do make a second dragon (cutting and glueing scales is very
), the scales will be white, the eye a metallic blue and the background will be a blue marbleized paper. Might make a sharp looking pair hanging on the wall.
Thanks for letting me share!
