this is going to be a long process, as the work is on a 36″x78″ canvas…
first, tho, are the initial sketches for the first part, going from right to left…to begin with, however, remember my previous work, “Preludes” –
this sets the stage, as it were, which is the title… Metatropolis is continuing the world –
these are all part of the first sheet, a 3’x2′ newsprint, which am transferring to the canvas that have reprimed and gloss medium coated [white canvas is NOT white white, as anyone who has made a mistake knows]… while the glazing is at this point optional, is a benefit in that if a mistake is made, then one can merely scrape that off, carefully, and the underlying is not disturbed… then will begin the grisaille, using Prussian Blue acrylic ink… and during the break times, will be on sheet two adding more to the vista…..
