The Dancer

Getting some work done for the Square Foot show here in Toronto. This colour pencil/pencil drawing will go into a 12" square frame. I plan on doing two more for a total of 3 submissions. As I get the others done they'll go here for any feedback.

Mark, she looks like one of those muscular depiction in anatomy books.

Does the show require you to use colored pencils? Do they prefer that you don't submit pencil or pen work? Just curious.

Re: The Dancer

Hope that isn't too off-putting Sandra The show allows anything, so long as it is exactly 12 square inches, no more than 5 inches thick, and can be hung from a wall. The range of creativity in the 1200+ pieces they show is staggering.

Re: The Dancer

No, not really. Only that this one is definitely anatomically drawn whereas your previous pieces are mind blowingly built upon stumps and unexpected trunks.

I could imagine the range of works in 1200 pieces. Good for you. Show us a few photos when they are up with your fellow artists' works.

Re: The Dancer

Thanks RELusion76.

Lovely word that came to mind Greg

The final of the 3 I wanted to get done. I'll drop them off after supper tonight. I'm wondering how many will get shown. It's up to the gallery how many of the submissions wind up on the wall.

Spring Rising - 11" x 11"

It looked like a weaker show somehow this year. I don't think I contributed with any strength myself so I need to wear some of that. Anyway, here are the 3 pieces up with their neighbours.

Re: The Dancer

Mark, there are some nice pieces there. Yours I spotted at once because it has less color. Such a neat display of everything the same size.
