Use to denote nudity/mature subject matter Quasi Classical

Life drawing at Stamford last night. Two one hour poses, the first best forgotten. The second one turned into a portrait really and is a good likeness. I spent another half hour afterwards just refining the tones a bit. Vickie the model has very fine features if a little severe in repose and holds any pose brilliantly. The effect is quasi classical.

Her right cheek has maybe a shade too strong. Only my little observation for a very beautiful drawing, Harry

The body lines and shading are gorgeous! I also love what you did with her hair. Are her eyes that large? Great drawing!

A striking drawing Harry. The sharpness of form reminds me of Wyndham Lewis's portraits.

Re: Quasi Classical

Beautiful nice light touch. Shows good restraint. Shadow at arm pit and two at neck could be soften maybe. It's weird how one drawing is a hot mess then bang the next unfolds just right. Worth some broken eggs for a tasty omelet like this.

Thanks to all for positive feedback and valuable crits which are duly noted! I'm working on a drawing/watercolour of a local church at the moment which is now at the stage of having to be salvaged with some opaque colours, always a bad sign....!
