Tea Time Again

11Ē x 14Ē oils on panel
Painted from life, natural light, Alla prima
Palette: Ultramarine deep, Burnt Sienna, M Graham Azo Yellow, Pyrrole red PR 254, Ultramarine Violet PV 15, primary blue (Phalo with White), Titanium white, walnut oil.
Done for now, may reconsider when dry.

Thanks for your feedback.
I now see that I have made the saucer out of symmetry, shape is not quite right. Should have held it up to a mirror. Well, since itís pretty dry, I guess Iíll fix it.

Iím looking hard and long at the color, temp and values as they appear during the painting session. Painted this in two sessions during the same early afternoon hours on overcast days. Got some genuine grays. I know from looking at your work, I donít have to tell you about greys

I have made adjustments to the saucer and this new photo is more correct with the warmer color.

A beautiful still life, the play with hard and soft edges, warm and cool colors , the subdued colors and soft contrasts, everything appeals to me!
