Donny Seib: At first glance this work looks beautiful, but after a second or two I wondered what the subject of the painting was? What is the focus?

Painting sketch made on an old painting that didn't work out.

I think I've gessoed over a previous oil painting. Oops! 🙈

Back from vacation and couldn't stop thinking about this piece. Hoping to finish it by the end of the month. Working on the dress and hat this evening.

This is absolutely beautiful! I love the idea of some butterflies, but it looks great the way it is too.

Re: Welcome to What's On Your Easel......May 2019

Glazed some areas to add some contrast and color then finished the water basin.

I'm gonna wait for it to dry real good before adding the foreground foliage since I'm expecting to mess it up and will need to wipe it clean without hurting what is already done.
