Talking Grillin'

I've been in lurk mode lately. A deep funk that I just can't seem to shake.
I spent some time talking with Harold, my Brother from a different Mother, and it sorta' gave me the push I needed. Thanks Man
This one I have to say is Matthew's fault though. His metal work and mastery of all that is shiney made me wanna' give it a whirl. It's a lot different from the furballs I'm accustomed to and has pushed me a bit artistically....well more like shoved me actually
Matthew Buddy....thanks for the inspiration!
It's a pic from flickr commons and for some reason it grabbed me and said....you gotta give this a go. I have about 50 hours into it and still quite a few more left in to go.
I've used everything from the #11 scalpel (mostly), the tattoo needle (single point, cut off of the one I got from Diana in CA), Fiberglass brush (micro mart, mini), Faber Castel Pitt marker (fine point) and a NEW blade that my wife brought home from work. The blade is like a #11 scalpel, but SMALLER in size....WAY smaller. I'll scan a pic of it in the next few days. It's only draw back is it gets dull fast...but the small scratches it creates is CRAZY! It is used to cut arteries during open heart cases. She grabbed about ten of them for me because they were "date expired" and were going to be tossed. I'll post up the info and see if I can locate where to get them. They are made by BD Bard Parker (same as my 11 scalpels I use) Oh yeah....NO INK WASH YET
anywho...enough blabbing from me....this is what I am calling "Grillin' " hopefully the title doesn't need explaining

Not the greatest scan, but you get the picture of where it's headed.
Again...Thanks Harold and Matthew
Oh yeah....it's a 10"x 3.25" board.....Ampersand of course

Re: Grillin'

Allan, Allan, Allan. What are you doing? So you are brilliant at animals - tick, reflections - tick, hoomun beings - tick etc. etc and now CHROME!!!!!!

So, is there anything you can't do! Wish Harold would take me under his wing too. Probably not enough room for the both of us though. Unless he has big armpits.

That's the best chrome I have seen and it's not even finished yet.

Re: Grillin'

What Harry said. Ask anyone here, he took the good words!

When I break out of a funk my work is more dramatic. It is almost worth the funk for the end result! Seems to be the same for you. I think, sometimes our muses need a break, even if it makes us sad.
