Illusionary #14

6X6" on artboard, glass beads and blue interference added.

Busy day, framed three pieces, wrote some publicity pieces and finished off one piece and completed a second. Other than that, got some work done in the garden as well.

Now I'm just ashamed of what I have not done today.
The men of this forum are outstandingly productive and talented artist and this piece and your testament just prove it.
Gorgeous mixed media work Howard. Those metal paints suit your style to perfection.

I apologize for the blur. Failing light and excitement and exhaustion all hit at the same time.

Lets take a look at this studio shot from tonight.

Re: Illusionary #14

Like this one, too; it's much darker than the others, isn't it. For awhile they were getting bigger, now they're getting smaller again. I like the beads on this one, particularly.

Hmmm. I'm getting an odd association for the stainless steel textured paint at the top: rows of old typewriter keys! The parallel shapes really remind me of what it looked like when a whole bunch of them used to 'lock up' at once. lol (It occurs to me that the younger members of this forum may not have a clue what I'm talking about! They probably saw typewriters in films or tv, but maybe never saw one up close. )
