On Bockingford watercolour paper with clear gesso and watercolour underpainting. 12 x 15 ins.
This was fun to do as a Karen Margulis paint-along. My grasses are not the best but I found the gesso let me add more layers of pastel. C & C welcome.

A paint-along with Karen is a great way to practice layering and stroke work. Well done!

Very nicely done and I like the fluffy texture you were able to get on the end of the cat tails. I am currently watching one of Karen’s videos on how to use reference photos. She does share some very helpful tips! I hope we’ll be seeing more pastel work from you soon.
