February 1, 2018 at 6:33 pm #553381Thanks! Had my wisdom tooth that I broke out today. It’s pretty sore but on the good side it wasn’t nearly as expensive as they said it would be as it came right out.
I do look a lopsided chipmunk though, my face is swollen like crazy on one side.
I love the chickadees, they are such cheerful little birds.

February 3, 2018 at 1:40 am #553414Apples and Roses, 120x160mm (about 4.7×6.3″ ~29.6 sq inches), acrylic on canvas.
Done in 2 hrs at the 2018-02-02 Cosham Art Group meeting.
Colour balance of scan, not quite right?

February 3, 2018 at 5:12 pm #553382Generalsynopsism your scan looks good to me. Greens and yellows are notoriously difficult to scan. You captured the textures beautifully. I like how you did the water jug, nice highlights on the apple too.
An art group sounds fun!

February 4, 2018 at 11:03 am #553383These are both acrylic. They’re both on painted over canvases which is what the texture is.
The balloon is 4×4 on a red painted background.
This one is 4×6.
Looks like we’re getting a snow storm!

Mary – lovely little birdChristel
February 5, 2018 at 10:15 am #553384Hi Maria! Hope you’re doing okay! Nice to see you.
Mary, your chickadee is lovely!
Thanks Christel, I had fun doing that. I was kind of going for a stylized Matisse sort of thing with the outlines but than forgot what I was doing. It’s funny though I did cover up a chickadee painting that I didn’t like to do that one. Now I have to paint another chickadee.
The balloon was lots of fun, I really liked painting on the red, in real life the contrast makes the blue glow.
