My yellow garden spider left me a present!! Yippee! I wonder how many eggs she will deposit in that there pretty sac?

Also, there was a buzzing overhead for what seemed like hours and actually was 15 minutes.... This crop duster was actually spreading radish seeds....They are long white radishes, they send roots deep into the soil and then rot during winter, opening up the soils of no till fields! And yes, people can eat the radishes....if they actually LIKE radishes....which I do not.

Love the classic ol' WW 1 age bi-plane. Keep it up, Natalie.

Ewww. Looks like you are going to have lots of tiny babies. Makes me shiver just thinking about it! I'm with you as far as radishes go. My grandmother had a stroke years ago and when they found her she had a bite of radish in her mouth. She liked them.

Wow Natalie, interesting photos and stories in Today's daily. I love red radishes with lots of salt sprinkled on them. I am going to google more about using radish seeds for soil airation. That is so interesting.

Nat', What a brilliant set of well timed biplane pictures, actually love the first shot between the gables, but you can keep your radishes!

Now please don't feel morbid about this tribute to Janette upon which I've superimposed her portrait.
Eldest daughter, Tina and I visited her memorial yesterday to check upon her garden after a month of rain.
We weren't expecting to see it flourishing so. All the plants are drought resistant Australian native species. It was a happy day.

This is the country cemetery at Eldorado, 17 kilometres from town.
It is such a lovely peaceful place. My matching headstone beside Janette's is yet to have a plaque affixed
In the background is a boulder upon which a plate inscribed, "Some day" is fixed, now there's a philosophical soul !

Thanks, Lorell, Norm, Sherry and Mark.
Mark, your tribute is up to you. It's sweet of you to still think of her so.....I, too, have a headstone with my name, just not my DOD on it.....At my parent's cemetery, we are not allowed to plant anything because it's a large one, and it makes more work for the perpetual groundskeepers.....
Lorell, google winter radish cover crop.

Thanks Natalie. It's a good feeling to take care of one's funeral arrangements as you and I have.
I understand the regulations re planting things at big cemetaries, same rules apply here. Which is why I chose Eldorado whose atmosphere is sort of more like a place of rest than a burial ground.
