Re: International Scratchboard Show- March 6-26, Indianapolis, IN

The idea for this show was conceived on or about November 2008. All artist in the "Scratchboard" forum were invited to participate and from that forum, 25 artists elected to participate. As with all shows, there was and are deadlines to meet so this particular show could come to fruitation. All participating artists, especially Cathy Sheeter, Rod-Man, and Tapecat, have worked very hard to gather all the art in such a short time frame considering that we started organizing all this after the holidays - January 2009.

Please join us in the Scatchboard forum and, if you're a scratcher, we'd love to see your work.

If you are interested in future shows (which will likely to be at least a year out) please join in the forum and you will know. The scratchboard forum is under the Explore Media heading.

I don't use this site much so I have trouble navigating it. Ok So where is the "Explore Media Heading"? So I can join the scratchboard forum and be kept up to date on future events. Congrats by the way to all of the participants. This is one medium that is way neglected by the "Gallery" crowd.

Re: International Scratchboard Show- March 6-26, Indianapolis, IN

Well the opening was a huge success with standing room only and people waiting to get in the door on Friday night. At 9 PM they actually had to usher people out and there were more trying to come in. We estimate the attendance at 200-300 people.

The Saturday after the opening we held workshops for attending artists that were video taped as well as lots of photos taken. That too was awesome... all and all one of the best weekends that many of us have ever had! Getting to meet our virtual friends and talk about a mutual passion for hours on end!

Photos from the opening and workshops can be viewed at: http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=551268
