Garden of Forgotten Dreams

Hello Everyone:

Well, here is the first of the series. This is quite a new technique that I am trying and I really love how this turned out so there will be more coming (in time).

This is done on 11 x 14 White Board, and I have used Ink, Fiberglass Brush and pencil.

In addition, this will be my demo in Indy, so I hope that it will be of any interest.

Thank you for looking and as always any C&Cs welcome

Martin

Martin...that is a very cool technique, indeed!! I can't wait to see the demo! Did you start with a black or white board?

Re: Garden of Forgotten Dreams

Martin I love it! It's gorgeous. Yes, ethereal. beautiful. I endorse Patrick's comment that I would love to see how you did it. Are you working on smooth or textured white? I have some smooth on which I tried using coloured pencil and graphite and found the pencils slid over the surface which didn't seem to hold the mark. I read somewhere in one of the threads that doing white requires a completely different mind set, and set of techniques. Would you like to comment?
I also look forward to see the rest of the series.....

Re: Garden of Forgotten Dreams

THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!! I apologize for the common thank you reply, but I am in work, and I am not really suppose to be on the internet...oh well!

I am really glad that my demo will be to your interest as I was not sure.

Lorna - this is done on white board
Christobel - white board without any texture, but I apply ink and than scratch back the image and smooth it out with pencil (which gives it slight different color and texture) and then scratch it back again. It is quite simple, really, I will explain more during my demo - this should take about 5 mins...
I guess that working on the white board is different than scratching the black board, but once you do both, you will not even think about it and just do it. Since I am scratching it, I am using the same technique I would use on black board.

Again thank you all for your kind comments!!!
