Himba woman, coloured portrait WIP

Hi guys, I'm working on a Himba woman from my visit to Namibia and will be colouring this. It's a 11" x 14" board and I'm in the process of overscratching so that I can colour it later. I have very little contrast at the moment as I'm hoping to create that with the colour which will be that rich ochre which they cover themselves with. Never tried colour on human skin/scratchboard before (other than my clown but that was easy) so this will be a first for me.

I need a title too - normally I can come up with them but Lorna already used "Himba Beauty"

Thanks Irfan Here's a very small update, a bit out of focus as it's scanned and too big for the scanner.

This is and will be wonderful. I've seen that ochre treatment on sculptures and it is terrific. Can't wait to see this one finished.

This is great!! Quite a coinkidink though, I have a laughing Himba woman to do next on my list. I want to do the same kind of coloring so it will be a great help to watch what you do.

Patrick : I was looking forward to this ever since you mentioned about it in one of my posts. I can well see that the middle tones are kept in low key so that color will have prominence. I will be watching with keen interest .
