Jo, thank you. Yes, it was a catamaran. There were about 8 boats on the shore there and that one seemed the most unusual for me. Good job on the kitchen...I like the detail of the items on the counter. Yum...a whole dish of chocolates!

Individuo, your bed covers look so soft on the unmade bed. I like your hatching on the car and tree...just enough.

3 - beach furniture - watercolors and ink
4 - water -
5 - window on the boat - watercolors and ink

individuo, thanks. I agree with Joan, just enough info on the car and tree. Nice lines. The bedroom scene is super. I like the rug detail and ... all the detail.

Joan, the boatyard sketches are outstanding. Love the colors, trees, skies, etc. Mmmm.

Thanks, Jo. The boatyard is a little out of the way for me to go to but I always like painting the rowboats over there. Usually I find sailboats and large motorboats near me, not rowboats which I think have more character. And I love the name of this marina...Silly Lilly.

#5 sub ceramic with plastic or fibre glass (as I don't know what materials it made from)... It was a big doll used as decoration at our local cafe

#6 it floated ... a sketch of a replica of an ancient Chinese vessel

Ai, great find on the boat. You did a great job with the lines. The plastic man is fun.

I said I would do Inktober and now feel stuck. See what happens today. Ha.

Thanks Jo, about Inktober, I am doing it but not following their prompt list as I like to have more of my choice of the sketch item. I think this way should help me to finish ink drawing daily.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #604: Sep 26 - Oct 4

I'm putting my sketch for today as Inktober and here. I combined the prompts. I don't think it will work for many of the days. I sketched in the big book with a Micron 02. The ellipse on the glass didn't look bad until I took the photo. Way off, but freehand, so.....

Number 4, healthy - apple
Number 5, water - in the glass

Jo, I should refresh the page before posting. I love your glass of water and the apple. With the ellipse that way looks like a fun glass, I thought it really was that way until I read your comments.

Thanks, individuo.

I sketched at the doctor's office, waiting room. (Follow up for Gene, nothing urgent.) Didn't quite finish, I was going to put at least two more chairs with a person. Oh well. On my iPhone with Brushes and my fingers.
Number 6, furniture

Re: Scavenger Hunt #604: Sep 26 - Oct 4

Joan - what a satisfied-looking water fowl (goose?). Yay catamaran! Beach weather? Short sleeves? Wow! Love the jumble of boats, particularly NY 6130 PD - the colours and shading and shadow is altogether awesome.

Ai - what cool footwear! Thanks for the info that these were contributing to happy feet during all the sightseeing. When were you in Italy? I had some sort of magnetic chess set for car travel (and some sort of sticker-sticky Scrabble set too - the letter tiles would adhere and not shift off the board) Waiting - boo - but sketching while waiting - yay! What an interesting critter/doll with mouse ears. Look at all those sails! And lines/rigging!

Jo - hello! Cool looking kitchen - is this your house? I've never heard of the game LCR but I'm now reading about it on "board game geek dot com" Good glass of water - are those marks from moving the glass? Yay comfy chairs at the waiting room.

individuo - ooh look at that snazzy carpet under the unmade bed. Good job on the crumples for the bedding. Setting the scene? Does that mean you ordinarily make your bed? Were you removing clutter from the bedside table? Yay a car!
