How about a selfie thread since it seems to be the craze these days. Hope it hasn’t been done.
Here is mine taken at the Calgary Stampede this past July. I am on the gondola ride across the fairgrounds.

August 9, 2014 at 12:52 pm #526906I just don’t understand the “Selfie” rage. It seems very narcissistic to me. Never the less, here’s one I took for Facebook.
Okay, now that I bit the bullet I want to see ya’alls!!

Yes Sherry, I agree with you, if done in a certain way it is narcissistic but we here on WC are doing it the “right” way!I suppose everyone is allowed to take one self portrait. Simply because the technology has been there since the advent of the camera.
August 10, 2014 at 11:00 am #526909Robert Cornelius, an American pioneer in photography, produced a daguerreotype of himself in 1839 which is also one of the first photographs of a person. Because the process was slow he was able to uncover the lens, run into shot for a minute or more, and then replace the lens cap.[citation needed] He recorded on the back “The first light Picture ever taken. 1839.”
