I spent quite a few hours drawing this still life setup, then made a one day study painting, then on to a more finished painting which I completed over several days.
C&C always welcome

FB @pmoreaufineartJuly 10, 2018 at 6:28 pm #655993I like the improvements in this final from the sketch- softer, deeper values, and richer color! The darks serve to tie it together. Flowers are fun!

DaveJuly 11, 2018 at 4:53 am #655994Thanks Derek, Paul, Ken and Sea Dangler! Spending a long time drawing, and doing the study really helped when it came to making the final painting.
I’m glad you like the colors, though they are off. I only have my crappy cell phone, so the colors are richer, not so dusty, in real life.

http://www.artallison.com/July 11, 2018 at 1:35 pm #655992I agree with Ken about the final painting being a great improvement over the study because of the richer colors and darker darks. So if the actual painting shows even richer color, then just wow.
