Heh, glad she is not a Who fan or I would be hearing about "My G-g-g-g-generation".

Re: Quick Dry Cafe - March 2017

As it happens I have some insight into what they are teaching in schools these days as my gransons have just brought home course option details. Apparently child care is a popular course here in Nova Scotia, along with integrated french, french immersion, tech ed, and music studies. As one currently wants to go into the Navy, and the other one wants to bankrupt us by studying Law, I think child care can be taken out of the equation.

I don't know what they would learn in french immersion that would be any good here as most people only know enough french to read the back of the cereal packet. Elder granson has now been in the integrated french program for two years, and I still know more french than he does just from vacations in France!

maybe , if they took 'music studies' they would learn that there was 'music' a while back, instead of the 'noice' projected today!

Good one Blue, I kinda like to understand the music I listen to. I also don't understand all these different named generations so I guess that makes me old.

Wow we have been having some gorgeous weather lately.

Hi Patti....i heard the weather was really nice down there...wonderful for you

I suspect from your comment, which I agree with 100%, that you and I are from a generation that enjoyed Guy Lombardo on New Year's Eve....

Never could tell the difference between Guy Lombardo and Lawrence Welk. I'm a 'Boomer'.

Lawrence was Polish and Guy was Italian!...both excellent musicians!

I had the same problem with Roy Rodgers and Gene Autry!

I watched both Roy and Gene and the Lone Ranger and a few others from way back then. They were on radio before TV and we listened to radio while driving to my grandparents. At least the car had a radio... not as good as they have now but it was entertaining. That was way before everyone sat around with a cell phone in their hand.

The weather has been really nice but I am bummed. We need rain. It was supposed to rain this morning but missed us completely, just went east and west of us while moving south. Right now I don't even have weeds thriving in the yard, just mostly dirt. How attractive... not!

I watched Roy Rodgers and the Lone Ranger too. Loved them when growing up!

Weather is finally great here! Plenty of sunny, warm spring days! I have not been posting much lately. I haven't painted in a few weeks either. I have been sketching and making jewelry, however. I have also been spending more time on long walks outside in the nice weather and gearing up for the move north. There's only about three more weeks until we go home!
