Hollyhocks-my favorite flower. I’ve posted my start to finish in the Watercolor Studio Forum. I wasn’t quite pleased with the finish-I was in too much of a hurry (as usual), but I think once it’s matted and framed it will do. No matter how hard I try, my paintings always seem to be illustrative! I’m hoping to change that tendency this year, perhaps take some classes and loosen up my brushes a little bit!

What an interesting thought!! I say that because most people don’t know that when I was young I most desired to train to become a textile designer-something I wish I had been able to pursue and regret I did not.
