Re: Aspen and Snow

Point of view is interesting. It's kind of claustrophobia inducing, which in my opinion is perfect for a snow image, as snow does have a limiting effect on movement options. Good color, very charming. Nicely done.

Re: Aspen and Snow

A well designed and painted water color to my mind. I love the creative point view of this. Gary

Wow!! Love this! The different and atypical angle from which the view is presented is daring and also successful! Almost abstract. Very well done!!

Re: Aspen and Snow

This is great. I feel like I am falling down that slippery slope. The colours are super!

Re: Aspen and Snow

Great piece and I really like the subtle play of lights against shadow as well as your perspective in this wonderful piece.
Nice hints of reflective colour in that snow as well....
Beautiful piece.

Re: Aspen and Snow

Thank you everyone, this was an inspirational piece for me. I used to travel every year to Durango to paint the fall colors there. Usually color change precedes any heavy snow, but not this year. There was a big snow followed by a sunny day. All the best.

Re: Aspen and Snow

That is one of my favorite areas, especially Vallecito. Neat idea for a painting and well executed.

Re: Aspen and Snow

This is a fun painting to view, feel like I just fell down the slope and am looking up at the aspens. Love it!

Re: Aspen and Snow

Great composition on different levels: I like the detail you put into the trees and the snow along with the color variety, and then you have this sense of curiosity with the slope and how the trees come out like that sideways. I think you have a great eye as an artist, and a talent at not only painting great compositions, but also have an understanding of what makes a painting interesting to capture somebody's attention and have them look more closely at the work.
