Re: Two Waterfalls....

These are beautiful Trudi. Loads of movement and freshness.
Love the brightness of the first, the stillness and light on the pool of water above contrasts nicely with the water below.
Like the more subdued pallet and somber mood of the second.

Re: Two Waterfalls....

Very nice Trudi. I am a big fan of #1.
The cascading water is more realized.
I always like the way you handle color.

Beautiful falls Trudi. I love those grasses along the banks in the first one, so pretty!

Re: Two Waterfalls....

Caroline thank you very much. You kind words are much appreciated.

Richard thank you very much also for visiting and commenting.

Gary, yes I do like colours. I think I have said before I would like to restrain that palette occasionally! Thank you very much for your comments.

John much appreciated. Glad you like them!

That is very kind Veronica. I look forward to seeing your finished version of your waterfall!

Yes you are right David. They can be clinched. Not too sure why, but I am glad you think I avoided the twee trap!

Re: Two Waterfalls....

Arnie thank you also. I very much appreciate your words.

Derek much appreciated, as always. Yes I think the second could do with a bit of work on the falls.

Lucy, thank you also. I struggle with grasses and didn't feel too bad about these ones, so I am glad you like them.

I was much happier with the first one, and that seems to be the favoured one of all you lovely people. It is very helpful to me to know that I was on the right track!

Re: Two Waterfalls....

I think the first one is particularly good because of the contrast between the calm upper water and the action of the falls.
