Both capture that feeling of walking in the dry, crunchy ground of the bush, that peculiar to
the Oz bush of the white soils one can come across and the stunted trees that goeswith
somewhere a bit parched by lack of rain. Like the first one more than the second but both
            are gems.

I like the first a little more as well. I think the breaks in the near trees and the inclusion of more distant ones give the painting more depth and give the viewer more access. Gary

Beautiful, soft, rolling movement – both are gorgeous imho

Beautifully done with a knife Michael and the skies are super! I think the undulating ground gives a sense of the arid vastness of the area. I think I love the first the most but then I look at the second and can’t decide!

These appear to me to be “softer” than usual for you. They are dreamscapes.
I too like the first, maybe as Gary said, but I see a way through to the other side, the “awakening…”
Both will evoke feelings and memories in many people, I think.

I had to google what is Outback Australia and the wikipedia result was:
The Outback is the vast, remote interior of Australia.
I also google some photos of the area.
What an amazing landscapes you have there!
Now i like these paintings even more.
