Elephant - Realism

Thought some might be interested in seeing the stages for this one - drawing, then blocking in with PanPastel Colors , then building textures, with pastel pencils, then finals photo. pastelmat paper 15.5in x 10in . Ref photo from wildlife reference photos.

Hi Jason, I can see you use Pitt pastels. Are they different than Carbothellos? Or is there a better color range? Or why did you decide to use Pitts as well?
And the elephant is amazing :-) It's the same level as a baby elephant you drawed earlier.
